It’s two years before the start of the 2028 LA Olympic, and LA28 has opened applications for volunteers, inviting passionate individuals from around the world to become part of the biggest sporting event on the planet.
Up to 60,000 volunteers are expected to contribute across a wide range of roles, both in Los Angeles and at Olympic competition venues across the USA. These roles include: Welcoming athletes and spectators, supporting competitions, assisting with ceremonies and operations and helping to create the unique atmosphere that defines every edition of the Olympic Games.
Volunteers must be at least 18 years old at the time of application, be proficient in English and commit to a minimum of 10 non-consecutive shifts during either the Olympic or Paralympic Games volunteer period. Residency in the USA is not required.
Those interested can find full details and submit their application through the official LA28 Volunteer Programme. Members of the judo community may use the following application code when applying: RWKABFMT (Please note that this code does not guarantee selection and is not required to submit an application).
