Distria Krasniqi (KOS) was the queen of the -52kg's in Zagreb. She won all her matches by ippon, starting with Amanda Lima of Brazil who she threw with a massive hiza-guruma for ippon in under 20 seconds. After that, she threw France's rising star Blandine Pont for ippon with an osoto-gari/harai-goshi hybrid. In her semifinal match, she threw Gaia Stella of Italy with a kouchi-gari off the ground and then immediately pinned her for waza-ari-awasete-ippon. Her final was against the very experienced Reka Pupp of Hungary, who lasted just over two minutes before she was thrown with osoto-gari for ippon. This was Krasniqi's 17th IJF World Tour gold medal.
