2026 Kazakhstan GS: Day 2

-63kg: Lkhagvatogoo (MGL)
There was a lot of drama in the final. Dali Liluashvili (RUS) scored in the opening seconds with soto-makikomi for yuko and managed to prevent Enkhriilen Lkhagvatogoo from getting any score for the rest of the match. In the dying seconds of the match, she literally ran away from her opponent and was given a third shido, causing her to be disqualified. Lkhagvatogoo could not land any attacks but she still ended up with ippon.

-73kg: Lavrentev (RUS)
Fabio Basile (ITA) did well in his comeback tour by making it to the final. There, he scored first with a sharp ouchi-gari for yuko. Danil Lavrentev replied with an ouchi-gari of his own, which also scored yuko. Then, Lavrentev did an ouchi feint into kouchi-gari that floored Basile. Ippon was given.

-70kg: Eme (FRA)
Clemence Eme scored with a yuko from an ura-nage fairly early on in her match against Miriam Butkereit (GER) and maintained that lead until the end of regular time, to secure yet another gold for France.

-81kg: Kairolla (KAZ)
Zhalgas Kairolla scored three times in his final against Petru Pelivan (MDA). He scored a yuko with sumi-gaeshi, and then another yuko with a kosoto counter. Pelivan struck back with a very sharp kouchi-gari for yuko. But Kairolla finished the match with a drop cross-grip morote-seoi-nage that whipped his opponent over flat onto his back for ippon.
