The -90kg final was a hard fought one between Luka Maisuradze (GEO) and Nemanja Majdov (SRB). It went into Golden Score where Maisuradze managed to get a yuko from an ouchi-gari done just as Majdov was getting up off the ground.
Audrey Tcheumeo (FRA) won the -78kg final through default as the other finalist Alina Boehm (GER) could not fight due to injury. This victory marked the 18th IJF World Tour gold achieved by Tcheumeo, who is now 35 years old, but still one of the top contenders in this category.
The -100kg division saw an all-Russian final between Idar Bifov (RUS) and Niiaz Bilalov (RUS), who obviously knew each other very well. Unsurprisingly, the match went into Golden Score where Bifov won with a unorthodox sumi-gaeshi for waza-ari.
The +78kg final was an exciting one. Midway through the match, Lea Fontaine (FRA) threw Raz Hershko (ISR) with a ouchi-gari for waza-ari. With less than a minute left in the match, Hershko struck back with an unorthodox osoto-otoshi for a massive ippon. Hershko is on a roll, having just won the gold medal in the Upper Austria Grand Prix as well.
Irakli Demetrashvili (GEO) gave the home crowd something to cheer about in the last final of the day by throwing Losseni Kone (GER) with a belt-grip hopping uchimata for ippon to win the +100kg gold.
