New IJF rule on grip breaking

New IJF rule on grip breaking

Under previous rules, breaking a grip using one or two hands but maintaining a grip with one hand (no separation) is allowed.

Under the updated rules, if you break the grip with one hand and separate, this is allowed. No shido.

However, if you break the grip with two hands and you separate, this is still shido.

In a nutshell, one-hand grip break with separation is allowed. Two-hand grip break with separation is NOT allowed (shido).
