All-Japan's: Day 1

All-Japan's: Day 1

Men
Sei Sato, a 3rd-year Meiji University student, defeated Ryuju Nagayama (Park 24), with uchimata-gaeshi for waza-ari, to win the -60kg gold.

Shinsei Hattori, a 4th-year Tokai University student, defeated Taikoh Fujisaka (Park 24), with a kosoto-gake for yuko in Golden Score, to clinch the -66kg gold medal.

The -73kg final may have been decided by penalties, but that doesn't mean that it wasn't an exciting match. In fact, it was full of action and scores. Ryuga Tanaka, a 4th-year Tsukuba University student, scored first with kosoto-gari for yuko. Then Yudai Tanaka (Park 24) replied with an uchimata for waza-ari. He followed that up with de-ashi-barai for yuko. Just as Yudai looked to be sailing towards victory, Ryuga struck back with uchimata for waza-ari. This evened up the scores. In the end, Ryuga won when Yudai got his third shido in Golden Score.

Sotaro Fujiwara (Asahi Kasei) won the -81kg gold medal by throwing Kaito Amano (Japan Elevator Service Co), with kouchi-gari for yuko in Golden Score.

Women
Mitsuki Kondo, a 4th-year Tokai University student, defeated Wakana Koga (JR East), with ouchi-gari for yuko in Golden Score, to win the -48kg gold.

Rin Takeuchi (Park 24) won the -52kg gold medal after her opponent, Hikari Yokota, a 4th-year Tokai University student, had to withdraw due to injury during Golden Score.

Akari Omori (JR East) defeated Moa Ono, (JR East), to win the -57kg gold medal. Omori had attacked Ono with a soto-makikomi which was given yuko although Ono landed on her right knee. Perhaps they ruled it as yuko because Ono's shoulder might have touched the mat.
