-90kg: Rutovic (SRB)
Boris Rutovic (SRB) defeated Guilherme Schimidt (BRA) with an opportunistic harai-makikomi in the last 30 seconds of the match to win his first IJF World Tour gold medal.
-78kg: Olek (GER)
It was an all-German affair in the final of this category. Sometimes when two players from the same country fight each other it ends up becoming something of a stalemate with neither being able to score on the other because they know each other too well. This certainly was the case in Anna Monta Olek's final match against teammate and rival, Alina Boehm (GER). In the end the match was decided on penalties in Golden Score after Boehm received her third shido.
-100kg: Baikamurov (KAZ)
The home crowd had something to cheer for when midway through the match, Marat Baikamurov threw Vadim Ghimbovschi (MDA) with ouchi-gari for yuko. He managed to maintain this lead until the end of regular time.
+78kg: Startseva (RUS)
It was a quick final with Elis Startseva unleashing a brutal armlock on Kamila Berlikash within the first minute. She straightened the arm and got the submission to win gold.
+100kg: Tasoev (RUS)
Inal Tasoev is a heavyweight fighter who is very nimble. He used that to his advantage in his final against Ushangi Kokauri (AZE) when he dropped to one knee while reaping with his other leg. This is the kind of drop ouchi-gari often associated with lighter players. Tasoev's version wasn't perfect. He scored only a yuko with it. But it was enough to win him the match.
